This fall the Graduate Commons Program will be entering our sixth year of community building. During this time, the program has continually evolved and expanded. Last academic year we welcomed the residents of Peabody Terrace and Cronkhite Graduate Center into our community. This year we are pleased to welcome the residents of the Mt. Auburn Group to the GCP family!
This year we are also introducing a new initiative to engage our Post-Graduate community. At GCP we know that the demands of post-docs, fellows, faculty members, & staff are very different than that of our graduate student community. Sharon Jacobs, our Post-Graduate Community Advisor, will be planning specific events for this group of residents. We hope that you’ll join us for professional networking opportunities, regular brunches, and more!
Sharon Jacobs is a recovering classical cellist who now teaches legal research and writing to first-year students at the law school. She also writes about energy and environmental law, which is just one of the many reasons she loves living in LEED-certified Cowperthwaite. Sharon and her husband are looking forward to sharing their interests in local food, music, hiking and bird watching (okay, that one’s just Sharon) with the post-graduate community over the coming months!
